Monmouth County government is ramping up its presence at the 2011 Monmouth County Fair with a new “Touch A Truck” event during all five days of the fair, which is held at East Freehold Showgrounds on Kozloski Road. Fairgoers will have an opportunity to see and touch an excavator, road sweeper, bucket truck and a dump truck outfitted with a snowplow. Children will be able to try on some public works safety vests and helmets and control traffic signals as part of this interactive display of equipment.

The Novins Planetarium Sky Theater recently re-opened with some of the latest projection technology to bring you the universe in innovative and exciting new ways. The planetarium dome is a virtual 3-D video space, no longer restricted to simply an earthbound view of the sky, you can now take a journey from the smallest size scales to the edge of the universe. When you want to see the night sky as viewed from Earth, their new fiber-optic star projector will provide a beautiful, crisp view of the night sky.
