The city of Wildwood is one of the top vacation destinations on the New Jersey Shore, with the stats to back it up. During the off season this town has a population of barely 10,000 people, however during the Summer vacation months Wildwood boasts over 250,000 individuals! One of the most popular aspects that draws tourists to the city is the two mile long boardwalk. The boardwalk stretches 37 city blocks and contains six roller coasters, two water parks and a seemingly infinite number of family activities.
The New Jersey Shore has a number of destinations that locals and travelers frequent for Halloween festivities, however the Asbury Park boardwalk shined brightly on the October 31st. Families from around the state celebrated the Fall holiday by dressing in fun costumes and enjoyed the atmosphere (and candy), given to all patrons. Oceanfront stores and boardwalk restaurants stayed open and handed special treats out to kids visiting the city. For visitors who enjoy traditional Halloween activities combined with beach fun, this was the perfect event.
Point Pleasant, New Jersey was originally settled by Quakers in the 1700′s, and by th early 1800′s had become a tourist destination. One of the most popular spots at Point Pleasant is the boarwalk region. The boardwalk was not built until 1890. However, it was a shappy structure that blew away two years later. The amusement area was switched to Clark’s Landing on the Manasquan River.
