A visit to Freehold, NJ is never complete without a trip to the Metz Bicycle Museum. A step into the Metz Bicycle Museum in Freehold is truly a stroll through history. The Museum houses one of the world’s finest collections of antique bicycles, dating from the 1850′s to the 1950′s. Hundreds of bicycles are artfully displayed. Boneshakers, highwheelers, quadricycles, tricycles, ordinaries, safeties, children’s bikes, trick bikes, and many more unusual and one-of-a kind cycles make up this fascinating collection.
This Christmas, local engineering students, Allison Daniello and Kelli Martino had more to celebrate than usual. Both students took home scholarships from the global aerospace firm, Lockheed Martin.

In an exciting development for Plainfield High School, choir leader Rev. Stefanie Minatee has been nominated for a Grammy award for her work. She has been nominated for leading her choir, named Jubilation, with lead vocals being sung by Queen Latifah
Visiting one of the New Jersey Shore beaches is a great pastime for people from across the nation, and one local high school senior, named Casey Loundy, is proposing that member of the military and their families should be given free admission to the Jersey Shore beaches.

With all the controversy surrounding MTV’s show, the Jersey Shore, many outsiders may get the impression that the region is party central for the Italian-American crowd. And don’t get me wrong, the region does have a great nightlife, however there is much more to the are than MTV is spotlighting on the hit show.
This week Belmar.com reported that the Belmar Mayor and city council have been in discussions to raise donation funds to build an ice skating rink for Pyanoe Plaza. The ice skating rink would actually use a synthetic plastic ice surface called Scan-ICE. This method would allow for a highly decreased maintenance and energy costs.
